Dapper knife series is our first entry to the crowded knife market as the KeySmart brand. I led both the research and product development because we wanted to design a unique product to be different than what's on the market.

HOW CAN WE BE DIFFERENT?

Nearly all the pocket knives on the market have very aggressive forms and designed to look like you are going hunting. Our design goal is to develop knives that are premium and tough to use at any outdoor activities, but also minimal and sleek enough to bring to a cocktail party in the tuxedo.

DESIGNED TO THE FINEST DETAIL

The Dapper 150 is an ultra-slim gentleman's pocket knife, designed to disappear in your suit pocket and surface for quick access when you need it. The machined aluminum handle with red accents lets this knife blend seamlessly at your next black-tie event. They are crafted to be unique and different from the rugged look in most of the pocket knives on the market.

RETAIL PACKAGING

The Dapper 150 is designed for those who want a sleek and modern pocket knife in their everyday carry lifestyle. The objective of the packaging design was to reflect the slim knife profile as well as present knife's premium and quality to the consumers.

The background spot gloss pattern and the metallic red foil were the premium finishing added to the packaging to demonstrate we put in just as much effort into the product as into the packaging for the overall customer experience. The Chicago cityscape graphic ties our target consumers to the KeySmart brand story.
